Orthopaedics & Trauma

The Orthopaedic and Trauma Department treats injuries and conditions of the bones, joints and spine — fractures, joint injuries, road traffic accidents, falls and back pain.

Services

• Trauma — fractures, dislocations, open wounds, road traffic and boda boda injuries and falls, with 24-hour casualty cover
• Spine — back pain, tingling, sciatica, disc problems, screening for TB of the spine, and referral for MRI
• Orthopaedics — arthritis, bone infections, clubfoot clinic, casting and plaster, and minor orthopaedic surgery
• Rehabilitation — working with Physiotherapy on back exercises, traction and post-operative rehabilitation
